Guide to Library Services for Faculty

This guide highlights library services that can assist faculty with their research and instruction, and also provides helpful hints on getting the most out of the Library.

Research Services

Librarians and research tutors provide assistance to both students and faculty with a wide variety of situations, including research, course assignments, and information literacy needs.  Please feel free to contact us with questions about your own research and encourage your students to visit with their librarian liaison.
You can connect with a librarian or research tutor in a variety of ways:
  • in person at the library reference desk
  • Reference Phone: 614.823.1984
  • E-mail:
  • Text: 614.259.7404
We also offer one-on-one research consultations for students and faculty. Request a session by completing the Research Consultation Form

Departmental Liaisons

Each of the librarians is responsible for supporting the research and instructional needs of several departments and programs.  Your library liaison can assist you and your students in making the best use of our resources and services.

If you have questions about the Information Literacy Program, please review this Information Literacy LibGuide created by Rares Piloiu, Information Literacy Librarian. You may also contact your Librarian Liaison with any specific questions.

Keep it Secret! Keep it Safe!

Please remember not to share your Otterbein username and password with anyone; not your friend, not a student, not to someone outside the university.  It violates license agreements for such things as databases and exposes them and the university to litigation.  Sharing your password can open your account and the University to being hacked by outside groups.  So remember - Keep your account info safe and keep it secret.
