Exercise

Nutrition.gov Guide to Exercise and Fitness

This USDA-run site provides examples, videos, and tools for getting and staying active. It also has a resource guide to other government agencies' guides to exercise.

Move Your Way

Move Your Way is a physical activity campaign from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to promote the recommendations from the Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans. It is designed to be inclusive to those with disabilities as well, recognizing physical activity doesn't look the same for all people. It has an interactive tool that can help plan a weekly activity plan.

USDA-sponsored website that offers credible information to help you make healthful eating choices. It serves as a gateway to reliable information on nutrition, healthy eating, physical activity, and food safety for consumers. The site has a variety of tools and resources, including MyPlate nutrition plans, recipes, expert Q & A, tips on going vegetarian/vegan, hydration recommendations, food assistance programs, and an abundance of nutritional information. Nutrition.gov also has a strict standard for what websites they link to, focusing on pages that present objective, unbiased, and up to date content.

Eat Right

The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics' website, which covers topics related to food, health, and fitness. They also have sections devoted to seniors, men, women, and children.

Eating Disorders: 

National Eating Disorders Association (NEDA)

NEDA is the largest nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by eating disorders. Their site provides an online screening toolsupport groups (including virtual options), and how to find treatment and what to expect from it.

Resources for emergency support:

Crisis Text Line:  The free, 24/7, Crisis Text Line serves anyone in any type of crisis, providing access to free, 24/7 emotional support and information via text. Data usage while texting Crisis Text Line is free and the number will not appear on a phone bill with the mobile service carrier.

National Suicide Prevention Lifeline: Provides free and confidential emotional support to people in suicidal crisis or emotional distress 24/7.

The Trevor ProjectProvides crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to LGBTQ+ young people under 25.

Sexual Assault Response Network of Central Ohio (SARNCO): It provides advocacy and emotional support services in conjunction with medical and social services at OhioHealth Emergency Departments and other local facilities in central Ohio. Services include emergency room advocacy, 24-hour helpline, and recovery resources.
