What is OhioLINK?

OhioLINK is a network of college and university libraries in Ohio. OhioLINK member libraries share their catalogs, so if something you want isn't available in our collection, you can request it via OhioLINK.

Learn more by visiting the OhioLINK website.

Using OhioLINK

Search the OhioLINK catalog by clicking the link under the search bar on the Books tab of the main library homepage.

Enter your search term in the search box and click Search.

Select the item you want to request from the results list and click its title. (You may use OhioLINK to request books, DVDs, audio CDs, CD-ROMs, and many other types of physical materials.)

Click the green "Request" button under the heading "Library Holdings."

Select Otterbein University from the drop-down list, and click "Submit above information."

Enter your first and last name and your barcode and click "Submit."

You will receive an email when your OhioLINK request is available for pickup. Identify yourself at the circulation desk in the library to check it out.

What is ILL?

ILL stands for Interlibrary Loan. This is a service that lets us request materials from other libraries that are not available through our main collection or through OhioLINK.

Using ILL

To place an ILL request, click on Services on the library main page, then click the "Interlibrary Loans" link located under General Services.

Click on the link corresponding to the material that you are trying to request, either an article or books and other media.

Log in with your first and last name and barcode and fill out the form, including complete, accurate citations without abbreviations. You will be notified by email when your materials arrive.
