Tibet & China Festival

Otterbein deepens its commitment to global education with this multi-year focus on the arts in three non-Western regions: Latin America (2015-16), Asia (2016-17), and Africa (2017-18). Tibet, and China are gateway countries explored in programs in spring 2017. Tibet will be represented by an art exhibition: "BETWEEN US: Relationship and Identity in Tibetan Contemporary Art" along with the public artists talk & reception where the Tibetan artists Tsherin Sherpa and Tulku Jamyang (TJ) will discuss their artwork, growing up as Tibetans in Nepal, and their personal transitions from traditional Buddhist thangka painting to the world of contemporary art.

China will be represented by an art exhibition: "Water and Ink Revisited" and a "Silk Road Concert" performed on April 9, 7:30p at Grace Lutheran Church, Westerville. Additional programing include the "Annual Choir Global Performance on ASIA" and the "ACT OUT Reading Series" performed by Theater department.
