Need ideas?
Encyclopedias, Dictionaries, and historical overviews are a great start to get ideas. They often have a bibliography that can point you to more resources as well. This includes Wikipedia.
Below are just a few books on art. Note that you can also get into this topic from another direction, such as the theme you want to discuss.
The citation style for art history is generally Chicago, though MLA may be acceptable.
Databases: Some databases provide help for creating citations. Microsoft Word also provides citation help.
