The push pin icon saves searches and items. After you sign in you can see these records:

The "My Favorites" section of the library catalog has three sections: Saved Records (pinned search results), Saved Searches, and Search History.
Saved Records
These are individual "pinned", or "saved", records. You can give these records different labels. On the right-hand side, you can see a list of all the labels you've applied to these records. Use the pencil icon to make ay edits. Click the pencil icon on a single record to change labels on just that record or select multiple records and click the pencil icon at the top of the section to edit labels on a group of results.

If you select items from your favorites, you can click the kebab (3 dots) to share them with others.
Saved Searches
Click on saved searches to see when you saved this search as well as what limiters you applied. You can also create an alert or RSS feed so you can receive information on new results from this search.
NOTE:

Search History
In the library catalog, your search history is automatically saved in My Favorites if you are logged in. This can be helpful if you ever want to pick up where you left off with a previous search. It will hold only for the duration you are logged in.
