Get the Most Out of Student Feedback

Resources for faculty regarding student feedback

Collecting feedback from students in the middle or the end of a semester is a way of getting an overall picture of how course material and activities are being received by students. Although they focus on teaching styles or strategies, student evaluations are meant to gauge the effectiveness of a course as a learning experience, not faculty as individuals. Of course, this has led to a debate about their format and their institutional use at universities on a national level and at Otterbein in particular.

This LibGuide was created by the Otterbein Center for Teaching & Learning to provide an overview of the research literature, the debates, and the methodologies associated with student feedback in general and student evaluations of teaching (SETs) on campus.
