This is a guide created to help students doing research in music, music history, music education, music business and more.

Setting up & Accessing Henle

Create a member account from the link below. This must be done from Otterbein's campus network and you must use your official Otterbein email address.

  1. NOTE: If you already use the app as a personal account with your Otterbein email, you need to change the email address of that personal account to another address so you can use the Otterbein address to create the member account.

Install the app from the App Store or Android version from Google Play.

This app only works on tablets! So no smartphones or desktop/laptop computers (except for the new M1 chip Macbooks and Chromebooks).

In the app, log into your new account using the email address and password you just used to create the account.

Go to the store in the app and add any score to your library without any charges.

Personal app users can transfer their data to their new campus account.

  1. To do so, log into the app using your old personal account details then choose ‘Transfer User Data’ from the account section.
  2. Then log in the app using your institutional account.
