Both the notes and the bibliography entries should be single-spaced within each entry and double-spaced between entries

When referring to the same work as in the citation immediately preceding, use the abbreviation "Ibid." "Ibid." is followed by a page number if the page from which the second reference is taken is different from the first. If the pages are the same, no number is necessary.

Bibiliographies should be in hanging indent format (indented 5 spaces).

Bibliographies should be in alphabetical order.

Signal phrases are ways to lead into your quote.

•  Signal phrases create a smooth transition in your text:

o   According to Flynn (2010) “…”;

o   Pappas and Murray (2009) report “…”;

o   Jones (2009) says “…”;

o   Research by Smith (1999) suggests “…”

•  Signal word examples:  demonstrates, contends, implies, argues, shows that, supports
