ePortfolios allow students, educators, and other professionals to collect evidence and artifacts of learning, creativity, and reflection to showcase their work and ideas. This student-centered tool is multimedia friendly supporting, audio, video, images, documents and other types of files in support of student creativity and expression. At Otterbein, we use Digication as our campus-wide ePortfolio system. A few uses of ePortfolio on campus include student galleries, class ePortfolios, collaborative projects, research presentations, documenting experiential learning, interactive resumes and even reporting on social or sporting events and student groups. Otterbein faculty, staff and administrators also use Digication to support promotion and tenure, program assessment and as a place to collaborate and share ideas.
Digication is coordinated by the Center for Teaching & Learning. To consult with CTL staff about the possible use of ePortfolio, please contact the CTL (ctl@otterbein.edu | 614-823-1064).
