The culminating year will allow the Resident to complete a work that fits the Standards for Scholarship (Faculty Manual and the Librarian Scholarship Statement will be provided as resources), invest time in branding themselves, and engage in career outlook activities. Additionally, the Resident will be asked for insight into the development and continuous quality improvement work of the Early Career Development Residency Program for future iterations.
This residency will provide the Resident with a range of work and will allow them to explore and find affinity with functional areas of the library to pursue and expand their career trajectory. They will build relationships with librarians and library staff in mentor-mentee capacities, and network while being supported with training and feedback.
This is an inaugural program (2022) that will need flexibility for growth through the first Resident’s cycle.
